"I want to thank country radio in Canada", says Deric. "They've been consistent supporters of songs of mine over the years, and this song is proving to be no exception. There's a lot of detail in this song that is specific to my hometown...some Ruttan-family history as well, but I think of it as my tribute to any small town, really, and to those who are proud to hail from those often overlooked places on the map," says the Bracebridge, Ontario native. While in Saskatoon, Deric also appeared at Fanfest, and performed an electrifying full-band set at the Rockin' Country Cabaret at Prairieland Park.

In all, they criss-crossed the country multiple times, performing headlining and main stage sets at some of Canada's most prestigious outdoor fairs and festivals, including Craven Country Jamboree and The Calgary Stampede. "I think the band is better and our show is tighter than it's ever been...it just feels really good on that stage, these days," says Deric. "Performing is a huge part of what I do, and lately I have a lot of fun doing it." Deric's next performance will be on the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, broadcast live from Saskatoon, SK on CBC on September 9, 2012.

last night got to see Deric present the award for Female Artist Of The
Year to Terri Clark (alongside Jason McCoy and Fefe Dobson), they did
not get to see Deric perform on the show as scheduled. Says Deric,

production problems our performance had to be omitted from the show.
The band and I were REALLY disappointed but that's how it sometimes
goes with live TV. Paul Brandt's performance at the end of the show was
also cut dramatically short due to the same issues. So, I'm in good
company." Deric and the band were scheduled to perform "Up All Night"
on the show. A photograph of the band performing the song at dress
rehearsal can be found on Deric's facebook page.
